Eligibility Criteria for CAT 2015

Applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) categories). Check Eligibility Criteria in Details here

New Exam Pattern for CAT 2015

Let’s go look for latest CAT 2015 Exam Pattern. It is Online computer based Objective Type Test. It consist three sections which are listed below

1). Quantitative Ability (QA)

2). Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)

3). Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VRC)

Quantitative Ability and VRC has 34 questions, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR, 32 questions) and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VRC, 34 questions), whole paper carry 100 questions. The duration of the exam is 180 minutes (3 hours).

Marking: Each Question carry three marks and there are also negative marking one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

CAT 2015 New Exam Syllabus

English/Verbal Ability: questions asked from Reading comprehension, verbal reasoning, syllogisms, analogies, antonyms and synonyms, fill in the blanks, sentence correction, idioms, etc.

Maths/Quant Ability: Broadly Questions asked from Number systems, geometry, trogonometry, probability, permutation combination, algebra, mensuration, time and work, averages, percentages, profit and loss, quadratic and linear equations, etc.

Data Interpretation: questions designed from Interpretation and analysis of data based on text, tables, graphs (line, area), charts (column, bar, pie), venn diagram, etc.

CAT Logical Reasoning: In this section Question Asked form Clocks, calendars, binary logic, seating arrangement, blood relations, logical sequence, assumption, premise, conclusion, linear and matrix arrangement, etc.
